Police to tackle pavement parking problem
Police officers stepped into the shoes of a blind or partially sighted person during a Halifax Police Station visit by the Guide Dogs charity.
Officers walked through the Guide Dogs Sensory Unit - a dark tunnel that enables the participant to experience the daily challenges faced by blind and visually impaired people - as part of the event which promoted awareness of people parking on pavements. PC Ralph Sillitoe said the experience would make officers more focused on removing parked cars.
