Swimmers take the plunge at New Year swim
Swimmers braved the cold conditions as they ran into Lee Dam at Lumbutts, Todmorden.
The Upper Valley tradition of an open-air New Year Swim made a fantastic spectacle which was one of the most well supported for years.
Swimmers spent around two minutes in the water with the winners’ the first to collect the trophies carried out by diving officer Matt Allaby.
All proceeds go to the Todmorden Swimming Club which organises the swim.
The swim dates back to 1961 and has been held at Lee Dam for more than 20 years. Watch the swimmers in action here.
